Favorite Vacation Spots
I am far from being an experienced world traveler, but I have been fortunate enough to do some traveling. The following are a collection of my favorites.

Beautiful Locations

Fjords of Norway – Woke up very early one morning on a cruise just as we entered into the Fjords; they were unbelievably beautiful. It’s hard to describe in words how surreal and breathtaking it is to see mountains that come strait out of the ocean.

Yosemite National Park – Picturesque as the Ansel Adams photographs indicate. Driving through the park one sees forests, mountains and waterfalls. The park is accessible to hikers and tourists alike. It is a unique and remarkable place.

Shenandoah National Park – Camped there for a week, and it is beautiful. There are mountains, forests, and wildlife. Skyline Drive, which runs strait down the middle of the park, provides many exceptional views.

Best Cities

Rome – For anyone who loves art and history, and even for those that don’t this is an exceptional city. From the Coliseum to Vatican City there are numerous sites to see and the city itself has many artifacts scattered throughout. Yet it is still modern and alive.

Venice – Caught in a hailstorm, while on a gondola ride, a few minutes later the sun was out again. There is no other city like it. It is beautiful, full of history, small shops, restaurants, and has its own particular style.

San Francisco – A unique American city. There is no mistaking San Francisco for any other city. Whether it is the brightly colored houses, the steep hills, the street cars, or the Golden Gate Bridge, the look and feel is fun and all its own.

Paris – Great for an art-loving tourist. There are excellent museums like the Louvre and the Musee D’Orsay and numerous sites to see from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower a full vacation could be spent just trying to get to all the sites, or through all the museums.
