However,
this did give me a perspective on what conservatives are missing in their
online strategy. The Republican Party and conservative sites, blogs,
and groups often have a good top-down strategy. They embrace the hierarchical
structures of their groups; therefore well-led groups with an intelligent
leadership can formulate a plan and follow it through effectively. Yet
what I think is missing is a bottom-up strategy. They’re out-numbered
right now. They need more participation and more cooperation to help
the newbies, entrepreneurial types, and casual users to jump into the
world
of politics and the web. Freeform creativity and cooperation seems to
be a less natural fit for conservatives online.
